Your smartphone’s interface gets mirrored onto the 10.25” touchscreen so you can safely play music, make calls, get driving directions and more, using voice commands and steering wheel-mounted controls that keep your eyes on the road.

Steering wheel-mounted controls.

We understand the need to stay both connected and safe, which is why the i30 has phone and volume controls positioned at your fingertips. For added safety, cruise control can also be activated from the steering wheel.

Safety features.

The i30 features an upgraded version of Hyundai SmartSense™[H2] – our cutting-edge suite of driver safety technologies. Each of those technologies has one thing in common: they’ve been developed to alert you to (and help you avoid) any dangers around you.

Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA).

Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA).

Sensing the road ahead with radar and a camera, FCA warns you and then automatically brakes when it detects sudden braking by a car ahead. The system also detects pedestrians and cyclists.

Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW).

Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW).

At speeds of 30 km/h and above, BCW uses radar sensors on either side of the rear bumper to detect vehicles next to and diagonally behind your i30.

If a vehicle is present in the i30’s blind spot, BCW displays a visual alert in the exterior mirrors. If you proceed to activate the corresponding indicator light (suggesting a lane change), a flashing visual warning is provided and an audible alert is sounded.

Only available on the Elite variants.

Lane Keeping Assist (LKA).

Lane Keeping Assist (LKA).

LKA provides steering intervention to assist the i30 to stay in the centre of its lane. If the i30 strays from its intended lane without any indicators being activated, an audible and visual warning will be sounded.

Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning (RCCW).

Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning (RCCW).

Using the Blind Spot Detection system’s radar sensors, RCCW monitors for traffic approaching on either side of the i30 when reversing out of a parking space. Should RCCW detect a vehicle approaching, an audible warning will sound, with a visual warning displayed on the supervision cluster.

Only available on the Elite variants.

Smart Cruise Control (SCC) with Stop & Go.

Smart Cruise Control (SCC) with Stop & Go.

This system utilises the front radar sensor to detect the speed and distance of vehicles travelling ahead in the same direction and lane. It then automatically maintains a safe distance from that vehicle, up to a speed pre-set by you (between 30km/h – 180km/h).

Driver Attention Warning (DAW).

Driver Attention Warning (DAW).

At speeds of 64km/h and above, Driver Attention Warning (DAW) uses the windshield-mounted camera to continually monitor the i30’s position in a lane, while also tracking steering, brake pedal use, and time since your last break. When a pattern of fatigue or distraction is identified, the system gets your attention with an alert plus a pop-up message suggesting you take a rest stop.

FCW utilises the front radar sensor and windshield-mounted camera to detect vehicles and pedestrians in front of the i30. If a potential collision is detected, the FCW system will sound an audible warning chime and display a visual warning in the supervision cluster.

Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)

Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)

The TPMS displays the real-time PSI pressure for each individual tyre onto the instrument cluster, warning the driver of sudden pressure drops or deviations.

The i30 offers a range of dynamic engines: the 120kW 2.0 GDi, and the powerful 150kW 1.6 turbo petrol. From fuel efficiency to thrilling performance, there’s an i30 engine to suit for your needs.

7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT).

Available with the 1.6L petrol turbo engines, the 7-speed computer-controlled DCT combines the fuel efficiency and acceleration of a manual transmission with the ease, simplicity and absence of a clutch pedal of an automatic.

Drive mode select.

Drive mode select.

This allows you to choose from three driving modes – Normal, Eco and Sport – to best deliver on what your immediate driving need is. Sport mode increases steering weighting and engine response. Coupled with delayed up-shifting, Sport mode maximises the dynamic driving feel of your i30. Choose Normal mode for a driving experience optimised for typical day to day use, or Eco mode when fuel economy is your top priority.

Updated to streamline your everyday and make the most of each moment, the i30 is equipped with the latest in connectivity technology.


The crowning jewel of the interior is the beautiful 10.25” multimedia touchscreen display[P4], which integrates 3D navigation, Bluetooth device connectivity and Apple CarPlay™[P1] and Android™ Auto[P2] compatibility. A wireless charging pad is also fitted into the centre console for even more convenience.
