N-level performance

Experience that race car feeling with an impressive 206KW of power and 392Nm of torque, powered by a 2L turbo flat power engine. Choose from two thrilling powertrains: 6-speed Manual Transmission (MT) or the 8- speed wet Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT).

Inspired by TCR racing cars

Modelled on the Hyundai TCR racing car, the i30 Sedan N is all about performance. The drive shaft, wheel hub and bearing have been developed into one integrated axle, designed to withstand extreme lateral g-force.

High-performance cockpit

Step into the sporty side of life. The new i30 Sedan N is fitted with N-exclusive, leather^[P11] appointed sports front seats, alloy sports pedals and a 10.25" digital instrument cluster with N dedicated performance display - maximising comfort and control.

Racing wheels

Lap the race track with more precision than ever, enabled by N-exclusive 19" lightweight forged alloy wheels and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres for better handling performance at high speeds.

Bluelink^TM[P2] connectivity

Stay more connected to your ride with state-of-the-art BluelinkMP2) technology, including Automatic Collision Notification (CAN), Emergency Call (SOS) and Voice Control functions.

Active variable exhaust

Pump up the volume on your N exhaust sound with linear variable valve settings. In ‘normal’ mode, the exhaust sound is softened for neighbourhood-friendly driving, or you can activate N mode to open the valve and generate exhaust noises that suit your N mood. 

Electronic controlled suspension

The 2nd generation ECS allows for the widest range of suspension settings in the i30 range. Set the shocks to Sport+ for extreme track driving or Normal mode for comfortable cruising around town.

N Grin Shift

Push the N Grin Shift button to activate and overtake on the race track. Unleash full N performance as you surge with enhanced acceleration from 206kW to 213kW of power for a full 20 seconds.

N Performance Driving Data System

Monitor and improve your on-track performance with driving data accessible from the 10.25” infotainment system. Tap into N track maps, engine temperature and throttle info, as well as lap and acceleration timing. 

Rear stiffness bar

The H-shape multi-jointed rear stiff bar increases body rigidity by 29% to improve ride and handling, especially when cornering and through dynamic manoeuvres. 

Electro-mechanical LSD

e-LSD distributes torque between inner and outer wheels when cornering to enhance performance, enable smoother exits and minimise understeer.

Driver Attention Warning (DAW)

Driver Attention Warning (DAW) analyses your driving behaviours over time. If it notices signs of fatigue or recognises you've been driving continuously for an extended period, pop-up messages and audible warnings will suggest you take a break.

Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA)

Like a second set of eyes, this system uses radar sensors in the rear bumper to look out for vehicles in the driver's rear blind spot. When BCA detects a vehicle in those blind spots, it provides audible alerts and haptic steering wheel vibration.

High Beam Assist (HBA)

This courteous and convenient feature scans the road ahead for approaching headlights, then automatically adjusts yours to low beam, then back to high when there's no oncoming headlights.

Lane Following Assist (LFA)

LFA uses the i30 Sedan N's front windshield-mounted camera to detect lane markers and preceding traffic on the road and provides steering assistance to help you stay safely centred in your lane while driving.

Lane Keeping Assist – Line/Road-Edge (LKA-L/R)

This steering-assist function detects lane markings on the road to monitor your position in a lane. Should you stray from a lane without activating your indicators, an audible and visual warning will be sounded and, under certain conditions, steering intervention will activate to help you in your lane.

Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA)

When backing out from a parking spot, RCCA detects vehicles approaching from the left or right. The sensor will issue an audible alert and visual warning on the dashboard and, if necessary, will initiate a braking manoeuvre.

Rear Occupant Alert (ROA)

This system monitors the opening and closing of the i30 Sedan N’s rear doors, to help make sure nothing and no one is accidentally left behind inside. When the driver stops the engine and opens their door to exit, ROA will display a “check rear seats” alert message in the instrument cluster.

Safe Exit Warning (SEW)

This system detects oncoming vehicles approaching from the rear and alerts the driver that it may be dangerous for passengers to exit the i30 Sedan N, with both a sound and a pop-up visual warning appearing on the dashboard.
