Safety comes first.

With the Hyundai IONIQ 6 N, you don’t just get high-performance specs – you get high-performance safety. Every model comes with SmartSense®[DA2], our suite of advanced driver assistance systems, to help ensure the utmost confidence, whether you’re conquering the track or commuting to work.

Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 2 (FCA2)

Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 2 (FCA2)

Designed to reduce the risk of collision by detecting and monitoring vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists. If the preceding vehicle suddenly slows down, or if a forward collision risk is detected, FCA provides a warning and will assist with emergency braking or avoidance steering if needed. Also included: Car, Pedestrian and Cyclist Detection, Junction Turning, Junction Crossing, Lane-Change Oncoming, Lane-Change Side, High Beam Assist and Evasive Steering Assist functions.

Lane Following Assist (LFA)

Lane Following Assist (LFA)

LFA uses the  IONIQ 5’s front windshield-mounted camera to detect lane markers and preceding traffic on the road and provides steering assistance to help you stay safely centred in your lane while driving.

Lane Keeping Assist (LKA)

Lane Keeping Assist (LKA)

When driving above a certain speed, if you start leaving a lane without using your turn signal, Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) can alert you and assist with steering to help keep the car centred[DA2][I1].

High Beam Assist (HBA)

High Beam Assist (HBA)

When driving at night, High Beam Assist (HBA) can automatically enable the car’s high beams (provided it is safe to do so). It will also detect nearby vehicles through the windscreen-mounted camera, and automatically disable the high beams when at risk of dazzling a nearby driver[I1].

Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA)

Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA)

Like a second set of eyes, this system uses radar sensors in the rear bumper to look out for vehicles in your rear blind spot, providing audible alerts and haptic steering wheel vibration.

Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA)

Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA)

When backing out from a parking spot, RCCA detects vehicles approaching from the left or right. The sensor issues an audible alert and visual warning on the dashboard and, if necessary, initiates a braking manoeuvre.

Safe Exit Warning (SEW)

Safe Exit Warning (SEW)

Safe Exit Warning (SEW) can detect oncoming vehicles approaching from the rear and alert you that it may be dangerous for passengers to exit the vehicle, specifically with a sound as well as a pop-up visual warning on the dashboard[DA2][I1].
